Actress Minu Muneer Alleges Physical and Verbal Abuse by Malayalam Industry Heavyweights

Actor Minu Muneer has made alarming allegations against prominent figures in the Mollywood film industry, claiming that she faced physical and verbal abuse from lead actors Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Idavela Babu, and Jayasurya during a 2013 film project.

In a Facebook post, she detailed her experiences, stating, “I endured a series of abuses from these individuals, including production controllers Noble and Vichu, while working on the film. Despite my efforts to continue, the situation became unbearable, leading me to leave the industry and move to Chennai. I am now seeking justice for the trauma I experienced.”

Muneer also recounted her troubling encounter with Mukesh when applying for membership with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), claiming he suggested she would need to provide sexual favors to join.

In response to the allegations, Maniyanpilla Raju has called for a thorough investigation, noting that the situation may reveal more disclosures and that both innocent and guilty parties may be involved. “A comprehensive inquiry is essential to address these claims,” Raju stated.
